Traveling around the world is a pleasure for most people, and doing so through its cuisine has become more rewarding and enjoyable, which is why Taste Atlas has already shared the 10 best countries in the world to travel through traditional cuisine.

While each country has its own culture and history, it is also characterized by the mix of flavors found in its typical food. Mexico is not far behind, but there are also many other parts of the world that promise to offer a unique culinary experience.

According to the Taste Atlas website, the ranking was based on the “public vote for ingredients, dishes and drinks”, so with this list you can already start tracing the path to embark on your next trip around the world and get to know each country not only for the its history, but also for its traditional gastronomy.

Italy: It placed first with its traditional dishes such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto Toscano, Nduja, Risotto ai funghi porcini and Pesto Genovese.

Greece: Greek cuisine was the second favorite of Kalamata, Festiki Aeginas, Rudakina Naousas, Saganaki and Dakos.

Spain: Spain, in turn, captivated the public’s palate with its 100% acorn-fed Iberian ham, acorn-fed Iberian ham, manchego, asbestos and grilled shrimp.
