Google Web Browser created a limited company in Pakistan pursuant to a change in the Social Media Act.
According to national media, Google created a limited company in Pakistan after amending the law requiring social media platforms to open offices in the country last year.
Syed Amin-ul-Haq, Minister of Information and Communication Technology, stated that several social media platforms will open offices in Pakistan after Google and announced that TikTok will open an office soon.
As part of Pakistan’s amendment to the law last year, social media companies were required to open offices in the country.
